The Popular Chinese Republic is a country which today represents a nation that has remained a united for centuries, one of the principle centers of civility on the history of the world. A long-time unit as an empire, China has known many different dynasties, both national and foreign, alternating under different regiemes until 1912, the year in which the Manchurian Qing dynasty ended and the Republic was born. Troubled for three decades  by civil war before the invasion of the Japanese, in 1949 the definitive prevalence of Mao Zedong’s communists established the current one-party system that today sees Xi Jinping’s leadership.
