Mohammad bin Salman
Mohammad bin Salman al Saud (Riad, 1985) is current heir to the throne, the Deputy Prime minister and Minister of Defence for Saudi Arabia. Ambitious and dynamic, he has distinguished himself since his youth for his willingness to reform the political-economic institutions of the Kingdom, principally through his Saudi Vision 2030 plan which provides an outline for overcoming the country’s dependence on Petroleum. In the Middle East, he is a proponent of the all-out containment of Tehran at all costs, including the possibility of coming to terms with Israel. Nicknamed, MBS, he is considered the main architect of the Saudi intervention in the Yemeni civil war.
