Environment

Climate change has not just affected our everyday lives, but also determined changes in society and politics. The phenomenon of migration is an example of this. Catastrophic events from the past, like Chernobyl, continue to affect us, and, in other cases, have become attractions. In the city of Doel, in Belgium, there is a nuclear center that still has many critical issues, with many of the nearby inhabitants having raised the alarm. These claims, however, has gone unheard. But those are not the only issues: in Africa, difficult climatic conditions and desertification are forcing many people to leave their homes in search of a better life in Africa or the European Union. In Asia, instead, the “city of the future” represents a real threat for local inhabitants, many of whom have repeatedly express their concerns and who speak of a possible “ecological disaster”.
