Born in Verona 1979, Valeria Gradizzi studied Photography attending workshops held by a number of photographers including Giovanni Umicini, Christopher Anderson and Ivo Saglietti. In 2014 she realized “White Shadow – under the mango tree,” a photographic account on the difficult situations faced by albinos in central Africa which was exhibited during the Photolux International Photography Festival in Lucca , as well as in Naples at the Magazzini Fotografici.
In 2018 she received an honorary mention at the 12th Julia Margaret Cameron Awards as well as being Silver winner at the Tokyo International Awards with her project “Al Batin / The hidden”, an ongoing report on women within Islamic mysticism. Her photographic reports focus strongly on social themes. She currently lives and works in Verona.
