In 1991 he presented his sociology thesis on “Mario Giacomelli and the Misa group in Senigallia”.

In 1999 he won first prize in the Italian Canon competition and, since January 2000, has been a photographer at the Contrasto agency.

In 2007 he won an award in the “Sports features, Singles” category at the World Press Photo contest, with a piece on young Chinese footballers. The Italian weekly newspaper supplement Il Venerdì di Repubblica dedicated their cover to him, along with his award-winning Italian colleagues.

In the same year, he received the G.R.I.N. (Amilcare Ponchielli) prize for his “loyal to the tribe” series on young people.

For the 10 years after the death of the great photographer from Senigallia, he made the film “I remember Mario Giacomelli” (Contrasto).

In the Summer of 2011, he exhibited his work at the Venice Biennale Marche pavilion, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. He also exhibited his work at Parisphoto, represented by the Forma gallery.

In 2012 he produced the “Italian contemporary excellence” series for Altagamma.

In 2016 “Flying women” went on display at the Contrasto gallery in Milan and then at Palazzo Montecitorio, at the invitation of then President of the Chamber of Deputies Laura Boldrini. They subsequently became part of the “New perspective” exhibition at the Milan Triennale and finally at the Modern Art Gallery in Rome. He was also awarded the “Scanno dei fotografi” award.

In June 2018 at the Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri, took place the personal exhibition curated by Denis Curti, “The liquidity of movement”.

Cinema and video
After a series of prize-winning short films at several festivals and promotional videos in the Marche region, he made his film debut in 2003 as screenwriter and director of the feature film “TRY TO FLY” with Riccardo Scamarcio, Ennio Fantastichini and Antonio Catania, scheduled on SKY cinema and LA7, which dedicated an episode of the TV show “The suitcase of dreams” to him.
