Francesca Rossi, the next President of the International Association for Artificial Intelligence Research (AAAI), works in New York at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center. Francesca is an IBM Fellow and the company’s global leader in AI ethics. With her deep knowledge of AI and the ethical aspects of AI technology, she leads research projects investigating how to build AI systems aligned with human values, and collaborates with institutions such as the European Commission, the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, as well as research centers in the USA, UK, Europe and Australia.
