Alessandro Diviggiano was born in 1986. He’s a photojournalist, documentary filmmaker, sinologist. He has been living in Beijing for several years, where he obtained a master’s degree from the Communication University of China. He looks for the contradictions between modernity and tradition of China. He is mainly concerned about politics, society and culture, and he focuses on the role of the new media. He is co-author of many articles published in academic journals specializing in New Media Studies. In China he has collaborated with iQIYI, B.O.N., StarTimes TV Network, AP Video Hub, making documentaries (taking care of shooting, editing and translation) on various topics: from ethnic minorities, to traditional arts, up to travelogue videos. In Italy, he writes for InsideOver and ilGiornal.it.
